TEDD University Visit: University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland
FHNW conducts research along the entire healthcare value creation chain. The spectrum ranges from the development of medical products and drugs, technologies and production processes through to their production and market launch.
In the new Campus-Muttenz near Basel, the FHNW School of Life Sciences (HLS) is part of Europe’s largest life sciences centre. Together with industrial and academic partners, FHNW conducts application-based research addressing key issues in the life sciences sector.
One of the areas of focus is that of tissue engineering in support of drug discovery and research. FHNW scientists apply cutting-edge technologies to support the development of new drugs, thereby supporting the 3Rs by establishing alternative methods to animal testing. During this visit, they will present current projects and show guests the available infrastructure.
